GDX-419 Malakai

Quite pleased with how this turned out- it was quite a challenge. This is probably my favourite type of gundam to draw.

The GDX-419 is a heavily armed mobile suit designed specifically for long range combat. It carries the sniper 'smart' rifle, usually mounted on its rear right shoulder which utilises the lastest in 'smart gun' technology. Instead of the usual beam it fires high energy 'pulses' which are able to travel vast distances with unnerving accuracy. But it's unique feature is that it is able to bend the output by up to a staggering 55 degrees- making it an effective weapon even against high mobility mobile suits. However its main drawback is its energy consumption, and is a weapon to be used sparingly.

The Archeus C/A rifle is a versatile weapon designed for a wide coverage of damage. It is mainly used in 'assault' mode which is a rapid fire 'scatter gun'- it is by far the least accurate weapon in the GDX-419's arsenal but the most effective against multiple targets. It's cannon mode on the other hand concentrates the energy output into one single, highly powered 'beam'. In addition, it is able to be linked to a modifier (to be illustrated) which is mounted on the mobile suit's back. The modifier is basically like an extra fusion reactor which continuously recharges the weapon allowing for a longer period of usage.

As for close combat, its only short range 'weapon' is its crab shield and its 'pincers'. It also has four powerful thrusters each of which is placed either side of its lower legs which allow it to jump a high distance into the air and hang for a very short period of time.
